SEPTEMBER 30, 2016

Elissa Blount Moorhead has been chosen as Executive Director and Chief Creative Officer of Station North Arts & Entertainment, Inc., announced the organization’s Board Chair Cynthia Blake Sanders. She will begin this position on October 25th.

I am beyond excited to be a part of an intentional creative district and to work in a city that holds physical and creative space for so many amazing artists in virtually every discipline.” said Blount Moorhead. “As both an artist and an advocate, my priority is to cultivate an inclusive platform for the creative community that truly reflects the broad range of work being made in the Station North and the diverse communities we serve in our District. Ensuring that Baltimore-based artists sustain creative careers in the District enhances the creative climate and economic outlook for all citizens of Baltimore. I look forward to working with Station North’s Board, staff, partners, and our sister A&E Districts to achieve this goal.”

LEED Gold Cultural Arts Building and developed the education, exhibition, and programming slate for its contemporary gallery, garden, and performance spaces. Blount Moorhead, who lectures and publishes work internationally, has also been both co-curator and artist in multisite public art projects with groups such as Creative Time, FLUX, and Art in Odd Places.
